Jhon Arias at Palmeiras: value and what’s missing for the deal to be completed
According to “ge.globo”, Palmeiras sent a proposal of 25 million euros (R$ 154.8 million) to Wolverhampton, from England, for attacking midfielder Jhon Arias. The English club was interested in the proposal and all that remains is for the player to respond.
Arias, 28 years old, was sold by Fluminense to Wolves for 22 million euros (R$ 142 million at the period’s price) shortly after the Club World Cup dispute, in July.
Fluminense has a purchase preference clause if Arias decides to leave the English team. President Mattheus Montenegro has already declared that he intends to exercise this clause, but he would have to get closer to the values requested by Verdão.
The player is an important part of the Colombian team and wants to do well in the 2026 World Cup. Wolverhampton is bottom of the Premier League, with eight points from 24 games. Arias has 29 games for the club, with two goals and one assist.
