MP demands explanations from City Hall about Carnival expenses – 02/03/2026 – Panel

The Public Prosecutor’s Office ordered the mayor’s management () to present a copy of the contract with Ambev, which will pay R$29 million as the main sponsor of the . The decision was taken by prosecutor Cíntia Marangoni, this Tuesday (3).

Authors of the representation, councilor Celso Giannazi and federal deputies Luciene Cavalcante and state deputies Carlos Giannazi, from PSOL, state that, with this money, the city hall committed in an official statement to cover the costs of logistics, security, cleaning and infrastructure for a total audience of 16 million revelers and more than 650 blocks.
