Sausages in puff pastry it’s a brilliant idea for a quick, simple and tasty snack. Just remember to stock up good quality sausages with simple ingredients and as much meat as possible. Preparing this dish takes only fifteen minutes. The secret of its taste is the stringy cheese and the addition of sesamewhich makes it even better. You can serve them for dinner or at a party. It is always very popular among guests, both big and small eaters will love it.

To prepare this recipe, you will need:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry,
  • 3 tablespoons of ketchup,
  • 6 slices of yellow cheese,
  • 6 sausages,
  • 1 egg,
  • sesame seeds.

Sausages taste best warm. You can serve them with ketchup or make homemade one tomato or garlic-herb sauce.

Unfold the sheet of puff pastry. Cut it in half along the long edge. Then divide each of the resulting rectangles into 3 equal parts. This way you will get 6 rectangles of equal size.

Spread ketchup on each rectangle, then place one slice of yellow cheese. Place the hot dogs on the longer sides of the dough and roll them up.

Place the rolled sausages on a baking tray lined with baking paper, keeping small spaces apart.

Crack the egg into a bowl and beat it with a fork. Brush the sausages with the beaten egg. Finally, sprinkle them with sesame seeds.

Bake the sausages in puff pastry in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for about 20 minutes (until golden brown).
