A woman, identified by the initials MRNP da Silva, was indicted after completing the investigation into the homicide of an elderly man, aged 60, which occurred on a beach in the municipality of Feijó.
The crime took place during a fight between the victim and the person being investigated. The elderly man was hit by a knife and did not survive his injuries. The woman was arrested shortly after the incident.

According to information from the Civil Police, during the investigation witnesses were interviewed and elements were gathered that, according to investigations, rule out the version presented by the suspect that he had acted in self-defense.
Delegate Dione Lucas stated that the investigation was conducted in a technical manner and based on evidence. “From the beginning, our team dedicated itself to clarifying the facts responsibly. The images and statements collected demonstrate that the victim tried to avoid the attack and that the person being investigated was the one who launched the attack, which rules out the theory of self-defense,” he said.
With the conclusion of the investigation, the police confirmed the woman’s indictment for the crime. The procedure was completed and forwarded to the Judiciary for the appropriate measures.
