President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) defended the former Minister of Justice and Public Security Ricardo Lewandowski, this Thursday, 5th, and said that the jurist left his contract with Banco Master when he was invited to the government.
The statements were made in an interview with UOL Newswhen asked about a Banco Master contract that yielded R$5 million to Lewandowski’s office, published by the portal Metropolises.
“Lewandowski is one of the greatest jurists this country has ever produced. And every good jurist is hired by any company that is having any difficulty. And Lewandowski had left the Supreme Court, he signed a contract to work at the bank. When I invited him to come, he left the bank. You know, there’s no problem. Everyone works for some company in this country”, he declared.
Opportunity with security!
Lula continued: “What is important to be clear is that we are going deep into this business. We want to know why the government of Rio de Janeiro and the State of Amapá put money from the workers’ fund into this bank. What is the fraud that exists between Banco Master and Banco de Brasília? Who is involved.”
