The reading is that PL is already ‘well considered’ on the national ticket; Ramuth intends to continue in the PSD
Despite the fact that the ticket that will be headed by the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), continues, internally, what we hear at Palácio dos Bandeirantes is that “in a team that is winning, it doesn’t move”. As already anticipated, the current vice-president, Felício Ramuth (PSD), is the governor’s favorite, which does not intend to give in to pressure from other parties.
In the column, the president of PL, Valdemar Costa Neto, . THE name would be André do Prado (PL), president of the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo (Alesp). Despite being highly praised by Tarcísio internally, as someone who “plays together” and who “will always be on the team”, the understanding of people close to him is that Bolsonaro’s party will already be sufficiently covered by the national ticket.
Furthermore, the assessment at Palácio dos Bandeirantes is that Tarcísio has enough political capital to make the choices he prefers. Ramuth is seen as someone loyal, discreet and whose speech is aligned with the governor.
Also in line is the president of the PSD, Gilberto Kassab. But, as already pointed out in the report, his place in the ranking is not good. After disagreements and public disagreements, in which Kassab even said that Tarcísio was submissive to Bolsonaro, the relationship more than cooled down. There are those who guarantee that Kassab’s chance of winning this dispute “is less than zero”.
Tarcísio’s assistants raise the possibility of Ramuth leaving the PSD so that the right can put together the ticket in the best way possible. There is nothing certain – especially because Kassab’s party has the largest number of mayors in the State, twice as many as the PL, in fact. But the possibility exists. When questioned by the column, the vice-governor stated that he does not intend to change parties, but also does not rule out the possibility depending on the scenario. The preference – for now – is the PSD.
