Space expert Schmid: “It would be easier to get to Mars from the moon”


The Artemis 2 mission, in which three men and one woman are supposed to orbit the moon, has been postponed until March at the earliest. However, the Earth’s satellite could soon become home to a research station, comparable to those in Antarctica – and in the future also to a spaceport for many further trips, says Volker Schmid from the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
