
Study shows hygiene and organization habits of Portuguese people on their trips. Women are more careful.
The survey was shared by eDreams and involved around 9 thousand consumers, from 7 countries: Germany, Spain, USA, France, Italy, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
Around a thousand people responded from Portugal – all of them adults, all of them on vacation in the last 5 years.
The study had one focus: how do travelers deal with the hygiene, organization e routines during, and immediately after, your vacation.
In general, there is a strong concern with organization and well-being when traveling.
Already hygiene e beauty, there is division: a third of Portuguese travelers keeps as routines who has a house, but adapting to the context the destination of the trip; another third seeks to maintain the routine you have on a daily basis; another third adjust personal care depending on the destination.
And what about underwear? 59% take more than a pair of underwear for each day of travel, as a precaution. This percentage is the second highest in this survey: only 64% in the USA exceed the Portuguese average.
33% of the Portuguese only wear one pair of underwear per day. Just 5% take less underwear than you need; wash during the trip.
As women (68%) are more careful than those men (49%), when it comes to underwear.
37% rarely wash clothes when you are away from home – here Portugal is at the bottom, it is one of the countries whose travelers wash less clothes outside the home.
And when will they return?
The priority of 29% of travelers, when returning home, is take a shower immediately. The bags are for later.
Others (24%) pack your bags soonin an organized environment and on a bed – which they have already prepared beforehand with washed clothes.
In an almost equal percentage, 23% unpack your suitcase in the garage, Then place all clothes directly in a hot wash cycle.
And only 13% of Portuguese respondents Leave your suitcase on the floor for three to five days useful before opening it.
