American President Donald Trump declared on Thursday that in the Hungarian parliamentary elections scheduled for April 12, his ally and acting Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has his unreserved support. TASR informs about it according to the report of the AFP agency.
“Viktor Orbán is a true friend, fighter and WINNER,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform, adding that “he has my full and unreserved support for re-election as Hungarian Prime Minister”. Orbán according to Trump “he fights tirelessly for his great country and people and loves them as much as I love the United States of America”.
“Viktor is working hard to protect Hungary, grow the economy, create jobs, promote trade, stop illegal immigration, and ensure LAW AND ORDER! Relations between Hungary and the United States have reached new levels of cooperation and spectacular achievements under my administration, especially thanks to Prime Minister Orbán. I look forward to working closely with him again so that both of our countries can continue to move forward on this wonderful path to SUCCESS and cooperation.” Trump wrote. Orbán’s main challenger in the April elections will be the chairman of the Hungarian non-parliamentary opposition party TISZA, Péter Magyar.
