Gas explosion occurred at the company Prozinco. Three of the victims were transported to the University Hospital Center of Coimbra.
One explosion of gas occurred today in a Estarreja companyin the district of Aveiro, caused serious injuries to five peopleinformed a Civil Protection source.
According to the Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of the Aveiro Region, the alert for the occurrence was given at around 2:00 pm.
“There was a gas explosion in the company Prozinc. We have five serious victims”, said the same source.
Three of the victims were transported to the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Coimbra, one of them by helicopter, and the other two were transported to the Aveiro Hospital.
Firefighters from Estarreja and Murtosa were present at the scene, the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) with the Emergency and Resuscitation Medical Vehicle from Aveiro, the helicopter and the Immediate Life Support ambulance from Oliveira de Azeméis, in addition to the GNR.
