A woman was arrested red-handed, this Thursday (5), after throwing a cat from the 12th floor of a building in the center of Curitiba, Paraná.

According to information from police chief Guilherme Dias, residents of the building heard the cat’s meows and, when they looked out the windows of their apartments, they saw the animal being thrown outside.

The delegate reported that, according to the woman’s grandson, she “does not like cats and attacks against the animal were frequent”. Witnesses called the police, who arrested the suspect red-handed.

The kitten managed to survive, but suffered head trauma, pulmonary contusion and severe bleeding in the bladder region. The animal is receiving veterinary care at the Animal Force Non-Governmental Organization.

Mistreatment

On January 27th, the community dog ​​Abacate was killed by a gunshot in the city of Toledo, also in Paraná. Police are still looking for the suspect.

In Santa Catarina, the police recorded the case of the dog Orelha, attacked by teenagers in Praia Brava on January 4th. He died the next day.

The investigation led the police to request the hospitalization of one of the young people involved and three relatives of the suspects were also charged.
