Political uproar in the Czech Republic. Lipavský is asking for an investigation into Epstein’s possible ties to the Prague elite

Former Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský called on Prime Minister Andrej Babiš to actively deal with the possible ties of the late American financier Jeffrey Epstein to the Czech Republic. Through the X social network, Lipavský said on Friday that he is interviewing the Prime Minister with questions regarding the investigation of Epstein’s activities in the Czech Republic. He is interested in whether the government has information about Epstein’s stay in the Czech Republic, whether the security forces are planning an official investigation and what steps will be taken to protect potential victims.

  • Jan Lipavský called on the government to investigate Epstein’s connections in the Czech Republic.
  • He asks if they have information about Epstein in Czech territory.
  • Several countries have already opened similar investigations, including Slovakia.
  • Epstein was going to visit Prague and was considering buying a property.
  • The public is demanding clear steps to protect potential victims.

At the same time, Lipavský pointed out that several European countries, including Poland, the United Kingdom and Norway, have already started investigating possible links to Epstein. He also cited Slovakia as an example, where the publication of documents allegedly contributed to political consequences, including the resignation of Miroslav Lajčák. According to Lipavský, the Czech Republic should proceed equally consistently and actively in order to avoid ignoring any reasonable suspicions.

Epstein’s activities in the Czech Republic

According to information from the Seznam Zprávy server, Epstein visited the Czech Republic several times, staying mainly in Prague. Available photos and bank statements show that the financier had certain interests in the country, while one of the e-mails indicates that he was considering buying real estate in the Czech Republic. This information raises questions about the possible extent of his activities in the Czech territory and whether other persons or victims are connected to them.

Last week, the US Department of Justice released more than three million pages of new documents related to the Epstein case. These materials contain photos, videos and names of famous personalities such as Elon Musk, Bill Gates or Donald Trump. The release of the documents drew international attention and prompted investigations in several countries.

The international dimension of the case

Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in prison in 2019, was accused of building an illegal network through which he secured underage girls for wealthy clients. His case has a global impact, as the names of prominent personalities and ties to different countries appear in it. According to Lipavský, the Czech Republic should not stand aside and should actively cooperate with allies to clarify all suspicions.

Lipavský’s appeal comes at a time when the public is increasingly interested in the extent of Epstein’s activities and their possible consequences. The question remains whether the Czech government will take concrete steps to clarify this case and ensure the protection of potential victims.
