Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the United States had given Kiev and Moscow until June to reach an agreement to end the war that began almost four years ago. According to him, if there is no understanding by this period, the government of American President Donald Trump should increase pressure on both sides to force an outcome.
“The Americans are proposing that the parties end the war by early this summer and will likely exert pressure on the parties exactly according to that schedule,” Zelensky told reporters. “They say they want to do everything by June. They will do everything to end the war and they want a clear timeline of all events,” he added.
The Ukrainian president also stated that the US suggested holding the next round of trilateral negotiations next week and, for the first time, on North American territory, probably in Miami. “We confirm our participation,” he said.

The new deadline follows the trilateral talks mediated by Washington in Abu Dhabi, which ended without concrete progress in the face of demands considered irreconcilable. Russia is pressuring Ukraine to withdraw from Donbass, where fighting remains intense, a condition that Kiev says it will never accept.
In a message also released this Saturday, via Telegram, Zelensky once again criticized Moscow and demanded a reaction from the countries involved in the diplomatic process. “Every day, Russia can choose real diplomacy, but it chooses new attacks,” he said.
According to him, it is necessary to prevent the Kremlin from using the cold as an instrument of pressure, which requires more military support for the country. “For this, missiles are needed for the Patriot, NASAMS and other systems. Each shipment helps us get through this winter,” he said, thanking the partners who “really collaborate”, without naming names or countries.
