On Sunday (February 8) in the morning, a tragic event occurred in Nižná Pokoradza in the Rimavská Sobota district. A family house fire broke out there for unknown reasons. The police reported on the social network that one person was in the house at the time of the accident. The woman († 60) was found without signs of life.
„An investigator into the causes of the fires was present at the scene, who ruled out someone else’s fault. In this case, a criminal prosecution was initiated for the offense of manslaughter. The circumstances and the exact cause of the fire are under investigation,” the police said.
According to the portal, a mother and her daughter lived in the house. The younger of the women went shopping, but after returning home she noticed smoke. She could no longer get inside, so she alerted the fire department. However, they could not save her mother.
