Windows still fog up from the inside despite heating? It's all because of this mistake

In winter, your windows are often wet from the inside, and even drops of water collect on the seals ? Although the windows themselves are usually to blame, often the problem is not their tightness.

The reason may be more prosaic. It’s a matter of bad habits and poor air circulation. Small mistakes you make every day cause moisture to get trapped inside your four wallsand the apartment turns into a steamy greenhouse.

Windows fog up in winter due to excess moisture in the apartment. This phenomenon occurs when warm, moist air (created during cooking, bathing, drying laundry or simply breathing) comes into contact with cold glass..

Then it condenses on its surface and you can see characteristic drops on the window. This problem intensifies if the apartment is rarely ventilated in winter and the windows are very tight, as this means that water vapor has nowhere to escape.

The situation is made even worse by being covered radiators (block the air flow) and poor ventilation. Therefore, it is primarily the fault of habits and lack of attention to proper air circulation.

If you want to visually wrap the problem up for a moment by limiting window fogging from the inside, wipe them with… winter windshield washer fluid. This is not a joke, but a clever trick that works because the popular preparation creates a thin, hydrophobic layer on the glass.thanks to which water vapor will not settle on it so quickly.

Simply spray the window with a small amount of washer fluid and use a microfiber cloth. If you don’t have this preparation in your apartment, you can also use water and vinegar or rub a bit of shaving foam on the glass.

Remember, however, that windshield washer fluid or shaving foam act more like makeup, so it is not a long-term solution that removes the cause of the problem. If you want to get rid of moisture from your apartment for good, you have to change your habits.

Air your apartment intensively every day for a short time, leave radiators uncovered (especially with long curtains) and check the ventilation (no trick will help without a functioning lift). Make sure the humidity level in the air remains at 40-50 percent.

Also, give up drying on radiators and choose a strategic place for the dryer (in a place with good air circulation). You can also place plates with salt or rice near the windowswhich are known for their moisture-absorbing properties.
