Civil engineer Amauri Alberto Buzzi registered the declaration at a notary’s office in Blumenau (SC). He said that he has an umbrella on Estaleiro beach, the location of the alleged act of harassment, and reported that on January 9, around noon, he was there accompanied by his wife, his STJ minister cousin, the young woman and her mother.
He reports that at one point, upon returning from the water, he came across Marco Buzzi and the young woman, who were walking towards the sea.
According to Amauri, both remained in the water for a few minutes and then came out. He added that his cousin is “physically disabled and has severe mobility difficulties and needs help to get out of the sea.”
He also stated that he saw “no sign of embarrassment”, that the beach was very busy that day and that there is no isolated spot. He also said that after getting out of the water, the girl “walked calmly towards her mother, who was in the umbrella”.
Another report, also registered at a registry office in Blumenau this Monday (9), is from Fernanda de Meirelles Rossmark Schramm, who says she has a house in the same condominium as Marco Buzzi.
She states that she was not on the beach at the time, but in the condominium’s swimming pool, and reported an environment of “normality and tranquility” after the alleged harassment occurred.
“At a certain point, when [Fernanda] was in the pool area, accompanied by several people, including Mr. Marco Buzzi, the mother of the person referred to as ‘victim’ moved from the residence towards the pool, announcing in a loud voice that they would need to leave the place, due to her mother-in-law having suffered an accident or feeling ill, also informing that, for that reason, they would return to the city of Curitiba”, reported the neighbor.

The neighbor repeated the minister’s cousin’s report, that he has motor limitations, and therefore said she found it strange that he could have committed the act in the water, considering the sea in the region.
“Although he was not present on the beach during the events investigated, he was in the condominium that day and knew Mr. Marco Buzzi, who has apparent motor limitations in his legs, a circumstance that would make it extremely difficult to carry out the continuous swimming effort required in the usual sea conditions of that beach”, she says in her statement to the registry office.
