President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva must veto projects for so-called super salaries which were approved by the Chamber at the beginning of last week. In the Senate alone, this measure has an impact of 215 million reais per year and this increase is due to the “hangings” that are the compensation funds and benefits that. Added to civil servants’ salaries, the amount exceeds the expected ceiling in the Constitution, which corresponds to the salary of a minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) – currently R$46,300.
