Mónica García celebrates the result of Chunta in Aragón: “We are playing politics in the territory”
The leader of Más Madrid and Minister of Health, Mónica García, recognized this Monday in Congress that the left has not had a good result in the elections in Aragon and has indicated that each of the parties will have to do “a reflection.” In that sense, García has celebrated the “important rise” of Chunta Aragonesista, which this Sunday doubled its results compared to the previous elections, because he says that “it shows that we are playing politics in the territory and in the forces that we are rooted in and that we really know the problems of the citizens who are in that territory” and he considers that it is the path that the left should take. “We, like Más Madrid, are committed to the formula of territorial roots and talking to the people of our territory about the problems they have. That is our model, the model that speaks to the people, that talks about daily life and that proposes solutions rooted in the territory.”
Mónica García has described the result of the PP in Aragon as a “blunder” because “it was going to revalidate a Government and has found that not only has it lost seats, but it has given more momentum and more air and more oxygen to the extreme right” and has pointed out that she does not know where the moderate right is in Spain because “the Popular Party is being absolutely eaten up by the extreme right.”
Regarding the alleged case of harassment by the mayor of Móstoles of a PP councillor, the leader of Más Madrid has said that the problem is the PP’s response: “It is the same one that it gave 20 years ago with the Nevenka case, it is following the same script: re-victimize the victim and protect the harasser.” “Mrs. Ayuso is always here,” said García, who affirms that the president of the Community of Madrid always takes a stand against women: “She never takes our side and will never protect any victim, whether she is a victim of the results of her shame protocols, or who is a victim of a stalker,” she concluded.
