Princes William and Kate are "deeply concerned" about Epstein's files

First public statement from the Princes of Wales on the case involving William’s uncle, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are “deeply concerned” by the latest revelations about Jeffrey Epstein, a Kensington Palace spokesperson said.

In the first public statement on the matter, a spokesperson for the royal family said Prince William and Princess Catherine are “focused on the victims.”

“I can confirm that the prince and princess are deeply concerned by the revelations. His thoughts remain focused on the victims,” according to Kensington Palace spokesperson

Last week, Mountbatten-Windsor left his Windsor residence ahead of schedule, following new information about his relationship with Epstein. The former prince now resides at King Charles’s private estate, Sandringham.

Mountbatten-Windsor had a long friendship with Epstein and remained in contact with the US financier after his conviction for child sexual abuse in 2008. He has apologized for his past ties to Epstein, but has denied any wrongdoing.

However, the continuing revelations in the US have increased pressure on Mountbatten-Windsor, who has been subpoenaed to testify in an American investigation, iIncluded in a huge set of documents released in the US contains images that appear to show Mountbatten-Windsor kneeling over a woman.
