Rio de Janeiro remains in Stage 2 this Monday (9)

The weather in Rio remains unstable this Monday (9), and the city remains in Stage 2as reported by COR (Rio City Hall Operations and Resilience Center). The municipality entered this level at 4pm on Saturday (07), due to weather conditions.

For today, the forecast indicates light and isolated rain during the morning, with the possibility of showers from the afternoon onwards. THE Stage 2 is the second in a five-level scale and indicates risk of occurrences high impact. According to COR-Rio, the stage may be changed again if there is a change in weather conditions or other monitored factors.

The guidance is that the population maintains their routine, but remains attentive to updates. The recommendation includes following information from Alerta Rio, consulting COR’s official channels and using the COR application. Rio, available for Android and iOS.

Civil Defense also advises residents to register to receive SMS alerts, sending your zip code of residence to number 40199. In case of emergency, the contacts are 193, from the Fire Department, and 199, from Civil Defense.
