Senator Jader Barbalho is discharged after 3 days hospitalized in Belém

The senator Jader Barbalho (MDB-PA)aged 81, was discharged from hospital this Sunday (8), after spending three days at the Hospital Beneficente Portuguesa, in Belém, for treatment of dehydration.

The parliamentarian was admitted to the health unit last Thursday (5), after a medical evaluation that indicated the need for hospitalization for clinical monitoring.

According to a medical bulletin released during the period, Jader underwent intravenous volume replacement, medication administration and complementary exams.

After his discharge, the senator used social media to celebrate his return home. In a publication, he appeared alongside his pet dogs and thanked them for the support they received during their hospitalization.

“Already at home with Hulk and Brisa. My thanks to the doctors, board, Beneficente Portuguesa team and friends who sent expressions for my recovery”, he wrote.

Jader Barbalho is in his third term as senator for Pará, which began in 2018. With more than 50 years of public life, he has held positions such as state governor, federal deputy, state deputy, councilor of Belém and president of the Federal Senate.

He is also the father of the Governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho (MDB), the Minister of Cities, Jader Filho (MDB) and ex-husband of the Federal Deputy of Pará, Elcione Barbalho.
