Show Rural opens 2026 as a thermometer for investment in agriculture

The calendar of major Brazilian agribusiness events opens this Monday (9) with the 38th edition of the Rural Coopave Showl, in Cascavel (PR). The event, whose theme is “The strength that comes from within”, brings together 600 exhibitors and expects to receive up to 400,000 visitors over five days, including national and international delegations.

According to the organization, representatives from countries such as Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United States, China, India, Japan, Mexico, Australia and Mozambique are expected, as well as caravans from different regions of Brazil.

Coopavel states that the number of foreign delegations could make this edition a record in receiving delegations, reinforcing the Rural Show’s status as a global reference in the sector.

Digitalization and innovation gain prominence

Integrated into the event since 2019, the Digital Rural Show has established itself as one of the main environments focused on the technological transformation of agribusiness and brings together presentations, exhibitors and content that cover the entire production chain.

The program includes around 60 activities and debates on topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, precision agriculture, biotechnology and extreme weather events, as well as business rounds and panels with investment funds.

There are also practical applications of knowledge and innovations in areas such as virtual reality, metaverse, 3D printing, Internet of Things, renewable energy and artificial intelligence.

One of the highlights will be the International Forum of Cooperatives, with the participation of executives from Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina to discuss the future of cooperativism. The space also promotes a hackathon that challenges teams to develop solutions for real agribusiness demands in more than 40 hours of immersion, highlighting the rapprochement between innovation and the needs of the field.

Automation advances production

Among the planned demonstrations is a pig feeding robot equipped with cameras and sensors capable of measuring temperature, estimating the animals’ weight and automatically programming the supply of feed. The technology seeks to improve production performance, reduce producers’ workload and optimize results, in addition to reducing feed losses and increasing animal welfare.

In milk production, a solution presented for monitoring calves and heifers using an electronic ear tag that monitors the animals’ behavior in real time and helps identify changes even before clinical signs appear. The system operates 24 hours a day and can be accessed via cell phone or computer.

Technology financing in agriculture

The financial environment also takes center stage at the fair. Institutions expand the supply of credit to support investments in the field.

Sicoob should make more than R$2 billion in resources available during the event, including a mirror line of Inovagro with a rate of 12.5% ​​per year and a term of up to ten years, in addition to “Invest Feira”, aimed at financing productive investments.

Banco do Brasil estimates it will welcome R$2 billion in rural credit proposals for family farmers, medium and large producers, with rates starting at 2.5% per year and conditions prepared after a series of prior meetings with clients and cooperatives.

In the same direction, Caixa Consórcio presents alternatives such as AgroFlex, with semi-annual installments and terms of up to 100 months, structured to follow the producer’s revenue cycle and expand medium and long-term planning.

Visitations and authorities

The visits begin at 7am this Monday, with the expected arrival of Governor Ratinho Júnior and other leaders, in addition to the inaugurations of the new family farming warehouse and Espaço Impulso.
