Tribute to the independence of the United States
The nearly 70,000 seats at Levi’s Stadium, in Santa Clara, welcomed the fans with pieces of fabric glued together, white, blue and red. When the time has come to deploy them, they have drawn a tribute to the American flag and the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the English, which is celebrated this year.
Multi-award-winning singer Brandi Carlile has performed America the Beautiful. The American anthem has received a somewhat ‘softer’ treatment, in the hands of Charlie Puth. At the exact moment in which the final stanza of the Star Spangled Banner arrived, the one that speaks of the “land of the free and the home of the brave,” seven fighters in formation have flown over the stadium, as is tradition, and then, a couple of seconds later, another.
