The keenly watched Epstein case also moves the Czech Republic: The police have begun to act!

The case related to the American financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is also being dealt with by the Czech police. According to the spokesman of the police presidium, Ondřej Moravčík, he is currently evaluating information from public sources and will specify the next procedure later. The Novinky.cz server reported this on Monday. Epstein allegedly had underage girls brought to him from the Czech Republic, informs TASR reporter.

“We deal with information in the public domain, and this internationally watched case is no exception. Currently, we are primarily evaluating information from public sources, and subsequently the procedure will be specified, including determining the appropriate department,” quoted Novinky Moravčík. The spokesman added, however, that the police had no knowledge or indications in the past, and even at this moment, that Epstein had minor girls transported from the Czech Republic.

The server Novinky.cz recalled that Virginia Guiffreová, one of Epstein’s victims, spoke about the suspicion of importing Czechs back in 2009, who stated this in the lawsuit. Czech ex-minister of foreign affairs Jan Lipavský was interested in whether the security forces are checking possible ties of the delinquent to the Czech Republic. He is asking Prime Minister Andrej Babiš to answer questions about whether the government has information about Epstein’s possible stay in the Czech Republic and whether it is considering cooperation with allies in this matter. Babiš is to answer him during the interpellations in the Chamber of Deputies.

According to the Seznam Zprávy server, it follows from the documents related to the Epstein case, which were recently published by the US Department of Justice, that Epstein was in the Czech Republic several times. In three photos, he is located in the Old Jewish Cemetery in Prague, and according to the bank statement, he used to live in the Marriott Hotel, for example. The server also pointed out that according to another e-mail, it can be concluded that he apparently wanted to buy real estate in the Czech Republic.
