On social media, Virginia shared images of the look chosen for the fashion show, showing details of the characterization and costume, which quickly generated repercussions among fans and internet users. The influencer’s participation generated comments of both support and curiosity about her role in the school’s presentation.
The presence of celebrities in the parade is part of Grande Rio’s strategy, which usually combines spectacle, visibility and popular engagement. Virginia joins other well-known names that have already been part of the association, expanding the reach of Carnival beyond the avenue.
The influencer must parade on one of the school’s floats, integrating the plot presented this year in the Special Group. The Grande Rio parade is among the most anticipated of the carnival season.
History of Grande Rio
Founded in 1988, Acadêmicos do Grande Rio represents the municipality of Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense, and quickly established itself as one of the most popular schools of Rio Carnival. Known for grand parades, plots with strong popular appeal and striking use of technology and visual effects, the school won its first Special Group title in 2022.
Throughout its history, Grande Rio was marked by the appreciation of Brazilian culture, by aesthetic boldness and by the constant presence of artists and personalities on the avenue, becoming one of the most popular groups in the Rio de Janeiro Carnival.
