The actor Wagner Moura told for the first time details of his move to the United States in 2017. During his participation in the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, the Brazilian reinforced the importance of Pedro Pascal in the immigration process.
Moura and the Chilean actor met in 2016, while filming “Narcos”. Since then, the Latin artists have kept in touch and helped each other with the challenges of living in another country.
“He was super important when I moved to the United States, because I asked him to write those letters to the immigration service – at that time there was no ICE (United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement)it was easier”, shared the protagonist of “The Secret Agent”.
At the time he moved to Los Angeles, California, Wagner was accompanied by his wife, Sandra Delgado, and their children, Bem, aged 19, Salvador, aged 15, and José, aged 13.
“I was trying to come here and work here and I asked Pedro to write a letter saying that I’m a good human being. He really helped me with that”, continued the Brazilian in a good-humored tone in the chat with Josh Horowitz.
Although they never acted together in the Netflix production, their friendship grew outside of the recording sets. At one point, Wagner jokes that he cannot reveal details of what they experienced outside of filming and that the stories should remain between friends. “What happens in Colombia, stays in Colombia”, he joked.
