Bangladesh and USA agree on trade deal


Washington – Shortly before the general elections in Bangladesh, the South Asian country agreed on a comprehensive trade agreement with the USA. The contract signed on Monday provides, among other things, for a reduction in US import tariffs to 19 percent. The head of the interim government, Muhammad Yunus, said that tariffs should be eliminated entirely for certain textiles made using US cotton or synthetic fibers.
