Generation Z struggles with fatigue: They lack energy so much that they give up sex and exercise

Generation Z is less interested in sex than all previous generations. This is repeatedly shown by several researches and surveys. However, according to researchers from London, this is not just due to dating apps and social networks – young people are also said to be chronically exhausted to the point that they don’t have the strength to engage in sex. Their research shows that young people significantly lack energy, which has an impact on their intimate life and daily functioning.

According to the research, 73% of respondents feel tired all the time and 26% said they are so exhausted that they have no energy for sex. Fatigue is also reflected in partner relationships. Twenty-two percent of respondents said their relationship with their partner would improve if they weren’t so tired, and 11% admitted that they quarrel more often because of fatigue.

Almost 69% of respondents think they have less energy than their parents’ generation. Of these, 41 percent attribute lower energy levels to the pressures of modern life. Other significant factors contributing to fatigue include: poor quality sleep, which affects 70% of respondents, financial pressure cited by 45 percent and poor diet, which is a problem for 35% of respondents.

Lack of energy is not only manifested in the area of sexual life. Thirty-six percent of people said that they’re regularly too tired to exercise, and 35 percent admitted they can’t cook with fresh ingredients because of fatigue. Almost four in ten people said they had trouble functioning on a normal day due to exhaustion, with the most challenging time for many being after lunch.

Nathan Clemes of drinks company Unrooted, which commissioned the survey of 2,000 UK residents, said of the results that they believe the UK is on the brink of exhaustion.
