New Lidl store promises to be different from all the others and is just a few minutes from Lisbon

Lidl has opened a new store that stands out for introducing a concept unlike any other, with a space designed to make the shopping experience more intuitive and efficient. The unit integrates solutions such as fast checkouts, optimized organization of aisles and infrastructures that reflect sustainability and comfort concerns.

According to Notícias ao Minuto, this new store is located in Alverca Norte, Vila Franca de Xira. Located on Estrada Nacional 10, the new store has 1,500 square meters of sales area, where the aim is to offer a modern and efficient shopping experience.

The unit integrates three traditional payment boxes and six fast checkouts, allowing customers greater agility and comfort during purchases. This model aims to respond to consumer demands without losing the functional logic that characterizes the brand.

A concept designed for the customer

The organization of the space was revised to make circulation more intuitive and pleasant, according to Lidl. The aisles were planned to facilitate the discovery of products and the brand highlights the comfort and efficiency of the shopping journey as priorities of the new concept.

Furthermore, the building was equipped with LED lighting and solar panels, reflecting a concern for energy efficiency and sustainability.

Parking follows this approach: there are 120 spaces, 30 of which are covered, and two charging stations for electric vehicles. According to the same source, these infrastructures aim to facilitate access to the store and encourage more environmentally friendly forms of mobility.

Support for the local community

The new store in Alverca Norte is also part of the Realimenta program, aimed at reducing food waste and supporting local entities. In this case, Lidl will support the Association for Child Welfare of the Parish of Vialonga (ABEIV).

According to the same source, this initiative seeks to combine the expansion of the network with a relevant social contribution, reflecting the brand’s strategy in Portugal.

The unit will be open every day, between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm, maintaining the extended opening hours that characterize the chain.

This year, Lidl marks 30 years of activity in Portugal, with more than 280 stores and around 8,000 employees spread across the country.

The company is part of the Schwarz Group, one of the largest European food retail groups, present in 31 countries with more than 12,000 stores and 375,000 employees, according to . The new store in Alverca Norte is part of this context of continuous growth and modernization.
