Kabul – In the western Afghan province of Herat, security forces of the radical Islamic Taliban violently broke up a demonstration for women’s rights, according to eyewitnesses. The protests broke out after the Taliban moral police arrested women for alleged dress code violations, residents reported on Tuesday. One person was killed and several other people were injured. There were numerous arrests.
