Santa Clara – The EU Commission is forcing the messaging service WhatsApp to allow AI assistants from other providers in the European Union free of charge again. The US company Meta, to which WhatsApp belongs, must implement the interim measures within five working days, the EU Commission said. Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, must abolish its fee for other AI providers, the commission announced on Tuesday.
