The pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), stated that Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) must explain “to his voters, his party and Brazil” his relationship with Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, and be accountable to the population. The statement was made during an interview with Lookpublished this Tuesday (9).
“Whatever comes against each person, each person has to explain themselves. This is competition and no one is putting themselves against A or B. […] This is a matter that will be up to Flávio Bolsonaro to explain to his voters. Voters will now be able to elect those who have the best credentials”, he highlighted to the vehicle.
The former governor of Goiás highlighted that voters “will now be able to elect whoever has the positive points to be able to govern Brazil and has the moral authority to sit in that chair”.
Caiado also added that “incidents” will arise throughout the electoral campaign and that even President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) must give explanations about the possible connection of his son, Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, with the INSS scandal.
In May, Caiado publicly accused fellow pre-candidate Flávio Bolsonaro about the audios involving the senator and Vorcaro. In a post on social media on the 13th, the former governor of Goiás stated that the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) “needs to explain himself” about the negotiations for o financing the film Dark Horse, a production that portrays the political trajectory of the former Chief Executive.
Despite public demands, Caiado signaled concern about the political effects of the episode on the opposition to the Lula government. According to him, the focus of the right must remain concentrated on the 2026 presidential contest and on maintaining a unified front against the PT.
