The Minister of Transport, George Santoro, stated this Tuesday (9) that the Buying and selling used cars can be done through the “CNH do Brasil” application, so that bureaucracy can be reduced in the process and the need to “go to notary offices to resolve the entire process” can be eliminated.
“Our intention is to be able to buy and sell used vehicles directly on the app, without having to take the car for inspection, go through the entire bureaucratic process, having to go to the registry office, which is an epic task today”, he said in an interview with the “Good Morning, Minister” program on EBC.
According to Santoro, the project is in the final phase of development and will be subject to consultation before its definitive implementation. The proposal envisages the full digitalization of the stages of transferring ownership of used vehicles, concentrating the procedures on the application. Santoro highlighted that the measure could impact a market that moves more than 10 million of used vehicle purchase and sale transactions per year in the country.
According to him, the The objective is to use technology and national standardization to make the process simplerfast and safe. “The government will introduce another service using technology, solutions and standardization throughout the country,” he said.
