Carlo Ancelotti embarked for Brazil on Sunday morning (25). The flight of former Real Madrid coach and new coach of the Brazilian team left the Spanish capital around 10:30 am, Brasilia, and is expected to land in Rio de Janeiro around 20h.
Before leaving Spain, the coach took a picture with businessman Diego Fernandes, who conducted negotiations with the Italian. The Brazilian dressed in the yellow shirt of the Brazilian team.
Real Madrid announced, also on Sunday morning, that former player Xabi Alonso takes over the team for the next three seasons. Like Ancelotti in the national team, it should be presented on Monday (26).
Ancelotti’s presentation is scheduled for 15h, Brasilia time, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, a neighborhood where the headquarters of CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) is. The coach will make the first call at the event.
The next games of the national team, qualifying for the World Cup, take place on June 5 and 10, against Ecuador and Paraguay.
On a busy Sunday, CBF also elected its new leader. With a single candidacy election, Samir Xaud was confirmed the new president of the entity.
