Vienna – Franz Ruf has been extended as general director for public security and thus Austria’s top police officer. The Ministry of the Interior announced this in a broadcast on Thursday evening. The Salzburger has been working in this function since 2020. Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) congratulated reputation on his reorder.
