Five fugitives from Rio Branco prison are found charred on the border between Acre and Bolivia

The Acre Civil Police found, on the afternoon of Thursday (7), charred bodies that would be fugitives from the Francisco de Oliveira Conde prison in Rio Branco. The crime occurred in an burned residence, located in a branch of Vila Mapjo, on the border between the municipality of Capixaba (AC) and Bolivia.

According to the first information, five fugitive Brazilians would be at the house at the time of the crime. So far, two whole bodies and bone fragments have been found, including a human skull, which indicates the presence of at least three victims. The scene was described as extremely violence, with human remains scattered around the place. On the ground, there are many pigs, and police suspect that animals may have consumed parts of the bodies and spread bones through the woods and nearby streams.

Investigations indicate that the crime may have been motivated by an internal dispute in the Red Command itself. The suspicion is that Brazilians would have committed a crime in Bolivia, which would have caused the confrontation between them and the result in the death of the victims and the fire of the residence. The case was registered as qualified homicide.

According to the Civil Police, since Wednesday (6) there was information that the fugitives would be hidden in rural Bolivia, where, according to the findings, farmers linked to the Red Command would give shelter to criminals. With support from the Plácido de Castro Civil Police and authorization from Bolivian authorities, Brazilian teams crossed the border accompanied by agents from the neighboring country to locate the bodies.
