Covilhã says goodbye to the firefighter who died on his way to a fire

This Tuesday morning was held the Funeral of the Covilhã firefighter who died in an accident while heading for a fire. Present were the Prime Minister and the Minister of Internal Affairs.

Daniel Addlo’s farewell, the firefighter who died on Sunday in an accident on his way to a fire, joined by Covilhã representatives of the region’s fire brigade, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Secretaries of State and members of other institutions.

The Mass, which lasted about an hour, was celebrated by the Bishop of the Guard in the noble hall of the barracks. Colleagues, friends and family aligned themselves to say the last goodbye to Daniel Addlo.

On the way out of the ceremony, before leaving, Luís Montenegro reserved the only words of the day for firefighters. And there was still who tried to be heard. The funeral procession went to the weight cemetery.

In addition to the funeral of Daniel Addlo, this Tuesday is also marked the funeral of the former village of Vila Franca de Deão, in Guarda. He died last week at the age of 43 to combat fire on family property.
