The stumbling English football record champion Manchester United embarrassed himself in the League Cup with a fourth division club. The team of coach Ruben Amorim spectaciously lost 11:12 in the second round at Grimsby Town in the penalty shootout. After 90 minutes it had been 2-2, there is no extension in the cup competition.
