According to the survey, the hashtag #Bolsonarofree, coordinated by groups of former president supporters, was the one that generated the largest volume of mentions against the trial.
Among the main topics, Bolsonaro supporters claim political persecution and question the legality of the process.
On the other hand, publications in favor of the trial celebrated the beginning of the action and defended Brazilian sovereignty in the process. Quaest pointed out that among those in favor, the posts were also intended to explain the reasons for the trial in an attempt to dispute narratives with Bolsonaro supporters.
Senator Damares Alves (Republicans) had the publication in the largest range. In an X post, the parliamentarian claims to have alleged fraud in the process evidence and asks for the suspension of the trial. “Stop Bolsonaro’s trial now, everything is addicted,” wrote the senator.
At the end of Quaest’s analysis, at 4:30 pm, the senator’s publication was the most seen, with 200,000 views. Until 8:40 pm on Tuesday (2), the post had about 365,000 views.
In the publication, the senator accuses the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) to use evidence forged in the criminal action. Damares highlights the testimony in the Senate of Eduardo Tagliaferro, former advisor to Minister Alexandre de Moraes at the Electoral Court.
According to the former advisor, Moraes would have determined searches against entrepreneurs being substantiated by a report. “According to the former advisor, the measure was taken without the veracity of the content of the report, classified as undemocratic, was confirmed.
