Chinese ambassador expressed opposition to interference with what he defined as “domestic affairs from other countries”
The China Ambassador to Latin American Affairs, Qiu Xiaoqi, was against the sanctions imposed by the Government of Donald Trump (Republican) to Brazilian authorities, as is the case of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, Supreme Court (Supreme Court)-.
In an interview with journalists on the morning of Tuesday (9.Set.2025), in Beijing, told the Poder360 that the Chinese government is against “interference” in domestic matters in other countries: “We oppose unilateralism and promote multilateralism. We oppose hegemony and interference in domestic affairs by any other countries.”.
According to the representative, the 2 countries will continue to work for the establishment of a “International more fair and democratic system”. Qiu defended integration between global southern countries, a speech that has been intensely released by the Chinese government.
The ambassador also said that China and Brazil are not only important partners, but “Strong supporters and friends of multilateralism”.
