Rituals have been accompanying us continuously for centuries, Hundreds of years ago, they were much more strongly believed, but many of them survived to the present time. Some in a slightly changed form, others are almost the same as years ago. One of these superstitions concerns the autumn equinox.
Astronomical autumn begins with an autumn equinox, which falls on September 22. This is a slightly movable date (usually within one day), which results from astronomical phenomena. At its substitution, our ancestors celebrated new seasons and then the power gained various power. In 2025 it is Monday. In the case of calendar autumn, the date is constant and it is September 23.

Autumn is strongly associated with some colors and things. Orange, pumpkins, falling leaves and of course chestnuts. The chestnut season begins in mid -September and lasts about mid -October. A lot depends on the current weather, but in the autumn equinox in most places we should easily find chestnuts. It is them, if you believe superstitions, you need to gather to ensure happiness until the end of the year.
Gathered chestnuts do not matter – but it is better to take at least a few, they can be taken into account in the arrangement of the apartment. Located at the dressing table or around the candle, they can be an interesting autumn decoration.

Having children, you can ask them to make chestnut people, which will be placed near the entrance – who knows, maybe there is a bit more truth in this superstition and he will bring a lot of happiness.
