I ended up not going to Paris, but it’s totally in my head. One of my goals is to be able to secure this place for the Los Angeles Olympics. Especially because it is in trestles; It’s the place that I won a step this year, it’s a wave that I identify with, that I know my chances are very good. So, I really want to do my best for this classification.
The motivation gains strength from the dispute: Trestles, California, where the surfer won a stage of the world circuit this season.
Planning, however, requires reconciling two goals: to maintain high performance in the circuit and at the same time seek the Olympic vacancy.

“Still in surfing every year we have a worldwide circuit that requires a lot of us and we will be focused to fight for the title at the end of the season. So, you have to know how to make both the two things at the same time,” he explained.
