The Council of Ethics and Parliamentary Decorming of the Chamber of Deputies meets on Tuesday (23) to evaluate a representation against Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), who may face a process of cancelting mandate.
The representation was filed by the PT and accuses Eduardo Bolsonaro of acting repeatedly to defame institutions of the Brazilian state. According to the party, the parliamentary’s conduct characterizes a break in decorum and cannot be protected by parliamentary immunity.
“In the document, the PT argues that immunity is not saved to acts attentive to the institutional order, nor protective cloak for incitement speeches to democratic rupture,” the text says. The caption calls for the immediate cancellation of the mandate.

Pressure expanded by PGR
The case gains even more seriousness against (PGR) against Eduardo Bolsonaro and blogger Paulo Figueiredo.
They are accused of coercion in the course of the process, in articulations made in the United States to pressure the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and interfere with the investigation of the 2022 coup attempted.
The complaint points out that Eduardo sought political support from the government Donald Trump to impose sanctions and tariffs against Brazil, in retaliation for his father’s judgment. The deputy has been in the United States since March and has been at risk of losing his mandate for excessive non -justified absences.

Ethics council evaluation occurs at a critical moment for the PL, which tries to reposition itself in Congress amid pressures about Jair Bolsonaro and his children. If the PGR complaint advances and the Council gives progress to representation, Eduardo may face a double siege: in the judiciary and within Parliament.
