While Trump announces to the world that Europe, because of the fight against climate change and immigration, is dying, democracy in the United States of America, with systematic attacks by its president, is already foot to the grave. But there are those who are fighting for her. The analysis of Pedro Siza Vieira and Pedro Marques Lopes, with moderation from Paulo Baldaia, in the Central Block
Jimmy Kimmel returned to the asset after receiving the support of Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon. Obviously all of them in Trump’s target, who had already made it clear that he hates opponents and doesn’t want the best for them. The attack on freedom of expression is done clearly.
The White House is not limited, however, to try to destroy the foundations of American democracy. In a recent report by a Think Tank Pan-European, the American strategy of dividing and secondarizing European allies is exposed. With more or less collaboration, support for the far-right European right is central to this strategy.
In question of the West and tested to the east limit, Europe hesits when responding to constant violations of its airspace for drones and Russian aircraft.
Here, we stride in the municipal elections, the debates are succeeded, as the news about the Glory Elevator and the uncommodes it causes in the candidacy of Carlos Coins.
In the central block, Paulo Baldaia moderates the conversation between Pedro Marques Lopes and Pedro Siza Vieira. Sonoplasty is by Gustavo Carvalho.

“November 25”, Book of Publisher Terra Livre
It is a book dedicated to Nuno Melo and all members of the Commission for the 25 November celebrations. It was published in 1976 by Terra Livre (I fear the publisher no longer exists), much on top of the event. It has the chronology of the events, interviews with the protagonists, communicated, magnificent cartoons of the time and relevant documents to realize what happened. I discovered it in the chimney of the Mota (a Porto carbistor) and I don’t think there are still many copies. It was great to reprint it to see if the above people learned any things.
“Inside the arrival”, book by Miguel Carvalho (Objective, 2025)
A work of a very unusual depth and journalistic analysis. Years dedicated to knowing in fact all about arrives. The foundation, the device, the funders, the social movements that support it, its transformations in these few more than 6 years of life. The discontent federation, the total inconsistency of ideology, the fascist movements and Nazis that are there, the exploration of ignorance, the use of the revolt is there. But are the various points of unity: envy, misogyny, racism, xenophobia, hatred of the immigrant (the distant, since the next is always different from others).
It is clear that the movement bets on the messianic leader and that he made the party to be like this. He tried to ward off everyone who faced him or who did not follow this line. Having to disagree with Miguel when he says the movement without the venture will continue. I do not doubt that many of the convictions he expresses will continue to exist – as existed – but he is the aggregating phenomenon.
The focus on social networks and professionalism in the occupation of media space is the most interested trait. As the author notes, we cannot let social networks be occupied by these forces, because it is in the networks that the younger ones are conquered and where the truth and the lie are defined. Traditional parties fired from this, which is serious. The analysis of the way they create cases to occupy the public space is very good.
This phrase from José Gil was me in the book “Portugal, today: the fear of existing” that Miguel quotes. He wrote that if we did nothing, we would be trapped by another type of regime that would take advantage of economic, social and psychological circumstances “to operate a collapse in democracy towards an unknown autocratic system.” It is a remarkable job that will serve as a manual for everyone who is dedicated to trying to understand these movements.
Pedro Siza Vieira and Pedro Marques Lopes analyze the events and protagonists of the week, with the moderation of Paulo Baldaia. Fifteen years after the TSF debut, the episodes leave on Thursday, the day of the Council of Ministers, in Expresso. Closing, and as always, the central block of interests, with suggestions for the important things in life.
