Damascus/Washington/Moscow – Russia and the USA clashed at the United Nations (UN) on Tuesday (local time). They accused each other of supporting terrorism during a Security Council meeting called because of the sudden escalation in fighting in Syria. The deputy US ambassador to the UN, Robert Wood, called for a de-escalation of the fighting.
