According to the analysis carried out by SIBS of data collected last Friday, the average amount spent by the Portuguese was 49 euros, four more than what was spent, on average, on the other days of November.
The amount spent by Portuguese people on online purchases which took place on November 29th, increased 67% compared to the same period in 2023, announcediated SIBS, the company that owns Multibanco.
In a statement sent to newsrooms, SIBS reveals that the Portuguese spent more this year than last year during Black Friday.
In online purchases this increase was 67%, while in physical purchases it did not exceed 17%.
The company informs that consumers chose the MB Way as the preferred method for online payments. In physical stores this type of payment increased by 42%, he adds.
But how much, on average, does a Portuguese person spend on the day that stores drop, in some cases, drastically prices?
According to the analysis carried out by SIBS on the data collected that day, the average amount was 49 eurosfour more than was spent, on average, on the other days of November.
“In relation to the month of November 2023, the value increased by more than R$8”, the statement also says.
“Fashion and accessories” (+191%), “cosmetic beauty and perfumes” (+180%) and “sports and recreational equipment (+113%)” were the categories of products purchased on Black Friday in which there was the biggest increase in sales in relation to the daily average for the month of November.
