Sara Norte, Heitor Lourenço and Hugo Mendes were on the program ‘Passadeira Vermelha’ this Tuesday, December 3rd, commenting on the latest celebrity news.
At a certain point, and when they were talking about Oceana Basílio, who gave an interview in which she talked about her work as an actress in recent years, Sara Norte and Heitor Lourenço had a disagreement.
After listening to Heitor Lourenço reflect on the role of an actor, Sara Norte spoke about her own case: “I’m an actress when they let me, when they hire me to be… I already deserved a role on television… me and Heitor”the commentator began saying.
Heitor Lourenço ended up enlightening his fellow panelist, remembering that he has done some projects on Television and disagreed: “You said ‘I’m an actress when they let me’, no. Many things I did as an actor were because I struggled and because, perhaps, I spent more than I earned.”he said, receiving a response from Sara Norte, who highlighted that he did not have “tools” to “go to fight”.
The commentator and actor criticized Sara Norte’s phrase again, stressing that it was a “wrong principle” and both entered into an exchange of words.
“Maybe, if you had the opportunities… maybe you would have more opportunities than me. You have this speech because you’ve been acting or in a play every weekend for two years.”recalled Sara Norte. “I’m not against you woman, calm down! I’m saying this, I’m not comparing you… don’t take it personally (…). We are not just artists when they let us, we are artists by choice and we always have to fight for it.”reinforced Heitor Lourenço.
Visibly uncomfortable with the conversation, Sara Norte let off steam and the conversation between them ended.
“No, I’m an artist when they hire me, I’m an actress when they call me to do something, they haven’t done it for 3 years…I don’t have the means to do anything on my own. I’m talking about my story like you’re talking about yours. You’re saying that an actor can’t say he’s just an actor when they hire him because he has to fight, that’s your opinion, so you’re saying that all those who don’t fight or who don’t perform aren’t actors, it’s that’s what you’re saying”he said. “I’m not going to say anything else”concluded Heitor Lourenço.
