Treasury proposes Trump’s face currency to celebrate US 250 years

The American Treasury considers coining a $ 1 coin with the image of President Donald Trump to honor him and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States next year.

US treasurer Brandon Beach published on his social networks a first sketch of what this commemorative currency would be like, but the final design has not yet been defined.

“No fake news here. These first drafts in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States and @potus are real,” wrote Brandon Beach, at X. and added:

“I look forward to sharing more soon, when the US government’s obstructionist stoppage end,” Beach said at X.

The draft image brings Trump’s head of profile on one side, above the words “In God We Trust” and the 1776 and 2026 dates.

The other side of the coin portrays Trump with a challenging expression lifting the fist. The pose is similar to that made by the president after escaping an attempted murder from a 2024 presidential campaign in Pennsylvania.

On this side of the coin, the words “Fight, Fight, Fight” appear, which he spoke after the attack.

Commemorative currencies may be mashed in the US, but are not for general circulation, according to the US currency house.
