Anyone who has ever looked up at the sky and seen a row of moving lights knows how intriguing the phenomenon can be. These lights are not stars or planes, but satellites from the Starlink network, launched by SpaceX, which have been multiplying in Earth orbit.
Recently, astronaut Don Pettit, returning from the International Space Station, shared a video on the social network X that reveals a unique perspective: the passage of these satellites seen directly from Space.
“In my best sighting in orbit of a ‘train’ of Starlink satellites”, wrote Pettit, showing several bright points gliding in perfect formation.
My best sighting of a Starlink satellite “train” from orbit!

According to the Digital TrendsSpaceX already has more than 8 thousand active Starlink satellites and plans to expand this network until it reaches 42 thousand, creating a gigantic technological “constellation” surrounding the planet.
