Currently serving as a juror on the The Voice BrasilPéricles spoke about his experience on the attraction, and revealed behind the scenes of the new season, now shown on SBT. The singer confessed that he was surprised and apprehensive about the invitation, but assured that he was happy with the experience.
“We are making a great program, I am very happy to be there, it is a huge responsibility, but today I have feedback from the people who worked and are working there and who came from other seasons and I am very happy with what I am seeing”, he stated.

The samba singer said that the weight of responsibility was the first feeling he had when he was invited to the program, especially because he understood the impact that the The Voice has on the trajectory of the participants.
“When I received the invitation I was scared, because it’s a big responsibility, we’re affecting a lot of people’s lives, their artistic lives, their careers, mainly. And many people bet on The Voice as if it were their last chance, not their first, as if it were a starting point (…). So I took that baggage and passed it on to the candidate who is there, showing that it’s not the end of their story, quite the opposite, it’s the beginning”, he said.
Péricles also commented on the process of choosing candidates and how he balances emotion and strategy during the auditions.
“There are several analyses, first I have to listen to the voice and that voice has to move me, it has to touch my heart, but at the same time I am competing with whoever is on my side (…). There is a game between us, there are different looks and ways of thinking, it is a competition between us for the candidate and at the same time we have to get emotional to bring the chosen voice to our team.”
